A DIY-Blogger Styled this 56-sqm Pinterest-Inspired Condo
Pinterest is a rabbit hole of inspiration, especially for interiors and small spaces. Blogger Michelle Rinosa-Sy styled up this 59-square meter unit for Cristy Sy, who is none other than her sister-in-law. Located in a very community-like, low-rise property, Cristy got the unit as a halfway home to avoid the crazy traffic from her house to her workplace. She contacted Michelle to turn it into a Pinterest-inspired condo. The contractor is none than Michelle’s husband and Cristy’s sister, he manages Bryton Builders.
Upon entering, the first thing you see is the kitchen and dining. These areas are very Jonathan Adler-inspired. It’s a very happy interior that makes coming together for a meal unforgettable. The kitchen backsplash is decked with subway tiles, and the cabinets are repainted and given new handles. In the dining area, a mix of chairs around the dining table were placed. An accent wall is placed with blue and gold patterned wallpaper.
Straight ahead is the unit’s living area. Lined up on the hallway are mirrored cabinets. Michelle cites that this makes the cabinets “invisible” and since they installed directly on the wall, they save space in the whole floor plan. Across it is a customized cabinet with some DIY artwork on the wall. The living room of the condo is a chic and cozy space with its play of colors and textures.
The couch, with hints of Chesterfield style, is a sofa bed. In true pinterest fashion, the artwork was DIYed by Michelle herself. The balcony is decked out with fake grass and has additional seating for an outdoor-extension of the living space.
The bedroom is a cozy retreat. The client cites this as her favorite space in the Pinterest-inspired condo. The artworks handing are Cristy’s favorite Bible quotes that Michelle had painted and framed. The bathroom was alo re-tiled and fitted in with new turquoise cabinets.
