This Three-Storey Townhouse is an Elegant Retreat in the City

The parents of this townhouse went the extra mile to secure their children’s future and prepare them for the years to come. The parents decided to purchase a duplex townhouse as a gift to them. To put a ribbon on the gift, the parents even had the townhouse designed by Interior Designer Anla Li-Tan. Anla placed 8th in the 2008 Interior Designer Licensure Examination and has been doing freelance since.
The married couple saw one of her works online and immediately got in touch with her to design this three-storey townhouse. When the home was purchased, it was completely bare and dull. The clients asked Anla to ‘fill up the space’ with her touches and design flair. The townhouse is a relaxing getaway located in the middle of the city.
Upon entry, an open floor plan makes the most out of the small space that usually comes with townhouses. The living room has a classy ambiance with metallic accents in the furniture and accessories accentuating the space.
Since the floor size of the townhouse is pretty small, the designer installed a huge mirror on the walls of the dining area to make the space look bigger than it is. She also installed a 3-seat breakfast bar to separate the kitchen and the dining room.
On the second floor of the townhouse is the master’s bedroom. The interior designer filled it with different accessories and pieces in playful colors to pop against the neutral walls.
The top floor lodges another guest bedroom which was also kept neutral. Yet it is accented by the colors of the throw pillows and cubby shelves.
Another guest bedroom emanates a warm and soft appeal through its brown color scheme. The accessories in gold add elegance to the space.
